Excellent essay, Türker! Surfed through this one under a minute and it had me smiling all the way. A rare gift to tell such a compelling story and weave in an important lesson along the way. Something I can learn from. Thanks for sharing.

This is so good! Thanks for sharing this Bulut! This is a lesson that I'll take with me into writing, but also a lesson I can share with my kids when they get frustrated trying to learn new things. Love this, and can't wait to read more of your work.

I agree what John said here. I was so engrossed in the story and the lesson is so powerful. I had earlier read about the inevitable dip in the journey to create/learn something worthwhile but I could never visualize it. But, the way you explain DROP makes much more sense than the dip! Love the way you tell such visual, powerful stories! :)

Love this piece! I’ve heard the advice “fail fast” many times, but it has always felt so intangible. I thought to myself, “How do you purposely fail?”

Your writing puts it into perspective. I now am thinking about how I can practice “the drop” more in my new endeavors. I think that will make overcoming inevitable hurdles a lot easier.

Looking forward to reading more of your ideas :)
